The devotees who come to pay their obeisance at Ramlala’s court also donate funds to Ramlala. Due to which, within a few years of the start of the temple construction, the annual income of Ram Mandir has reached the level of the country’s renowned temples Vaishnodevi, Shirdi Sai Mandir and Golden Temple. Devotees are donating generously to Ramlala. In the last financial year, Ramlala has received donations worth 363 crores through various means. Including the interest received on this, the annual income of the temple has reached 400 crores.
After the decision came in favor of Ramlala on November 9, 2019, on August 5, 2020, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of Ram Mandir. Ever since the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Ram Mandir started, Ram devotees started donating funds from that day itself. In the last five years, Ramlala has received donations worth 55 billion through various means. While 13 quintals of silver and 20 kg gold have also been received. Ramlala receives donations through online, cash, cheque, RTGS. Along with this, Ramlala has also started receiving foreign donations. In the last one year, Ramlala has also received foreign donations worth about 15 crores.
Ram Mandir Trustee Dr Anil Mishra says that devotees offer donations to Ram Lalla at the donation counter located at Ram Janmabhoomi Seva Kendra. Apart from this, donation counters have been set up on the Darshan Path. Donations are taken at the trust office located in the temple located at Ram Kachhari. Devotees offer offerings in the donation box of Ram Lalla in the temple premises. Apart from this, devotees also offer their devotion through online mediums. All the facilities in Ram Mandir are free. No fee is charged for any facility.
Akshardham, Somnath and Jagannath temples are behind Ram temple in earning money
President of Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand Economic Association and Professor Vinay Srivastava of Avadh University, who is doing research on the economy of Ayodhya, says that if we talk about the annual income of the major temples of the country, then Tirupati Venkateshwara Temple of Andhra Pradesh is at the top. The annual income of this temple is about 1600 crores. Apart from donations, there are other sources of income. After this, the income of Kerala Padmanabhaswamy Temple is about 700 crores annually. Currently, the annual income of Ram temple has reached the level of Vaishno Devi, Shirdi Sai temple in just a few years. Whereas the decades old Akshardham, Somnath and Jagannath temples have lagged behind in earning.
