On the occasion of Republic, the tricolor waved proudly in Ram city Ayodhya. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi hoisted the flag in the police line and took the salute of the parade. School children presented a cultural programme. Police personnel kept pace and the tricolor flag was hoisted from the city to the rural areas. Flag hoisting was also done in government and non-government offices. Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp in government and private schools also. During this period there was joy everywhere.
