An SSF jawan deployed for the security of Ram Mandir died after being shot under suspicious circumstances. The incident caused panic in the campus. The incident is said to have taken place at 5.25 am on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the sound of gunshot was heard in the Ram Mandir premises in the morning. When fellow security personnel rushed to the spot, they saw that a Jawan had been shot and he was immediately taken to the hospital. When his condition became critical, he was referred to the trauma center. There, the doctors declared the Jawan dead.

The death of the jawan caused a stir in the temple premises. IG and SSP reached the spot. They investigated the scene of the incident. The jawan’s name is Shatrughan Vishwakarma (25). He was a resident of Ambedkar Nagar. The forensic team also reached the spot and investigated.
In the initial investigation, the police believe that this could be a suicide or an accident. The reason will be clear only after investigation and postmortem report.
