Expansion
In the scorching heat of the sun, people are becoming increasingly dependent on ACs. Almost every second house is being equipped with AC. As such, the entire city is turning into a furnace. In the midst of intense heat, about 28,000 ACs have been sold in the district in the last two months. Most of these are installed in the urban areas only. The demand for ACs has increased to such an extent that the companies are not able to supply them on time. These ACs are making the houses cool inside but the outside atmosphere is blazing with the heat emanating from them.
This time the heat in the district is breaking all records. The effect of the fire raining from the sky is that the day temperature is reaching 45 degree Celsius. The nights are also very hot. Coolers and fans have started becoming ineffective in this intense heat. People are becoming dependent on AC on even a little prosperity. This is why there is a boom in the electronic market this time. As compared to last year, the business has almost doubled in just two and a half months. It is estimated that ACs worth about 94 crores have been sold in the district from April till now. Similarly, about 38,000 coolers have also been sold. Including ACs and coolers, the business of about 149 crores is estimated this time.

The stock was out last month
-Electronic Association’s senior vice president Satnam Singh said that he has sold about 2,000 ACs at his establishment this time. The stock got exhausted in May. Due to zero stock in some reputed companies, customers were given time by booking for supply. Now ACs have started being supplied in small quantities.
Trees were cut, stones were placed everywhere
– We ourselves are responsible for the deadly heat in the district to a large extent. During the development work, most of the trees were cut on the city’s Rampath, Parikrama Marg and other places. The 14 kilometer Rampath has become treeless. The condition of the 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg is also almost the same. Apart from this, a lot of stones have also been used in the footpaths and other development works of other major roads including Rampath, which has also increased the heat considerably.
413 homestays and many hotels also increased
– Around 413 homestays and many new hotels have been built across the city. Most of their rooms are also equipped with AC. Most homestays have three to five ACs and hotels have 15-20 ACs. The effect of the large number of ACs is that even after the sun sets, it feels like there are hot winds. The atmosphere is not getting cool even till late at night.
