In Ayodhya, under the ‘Nari Navodaya Abhiyan’, Ram Rajya-Ayodhya Foundation is taking initiative to install sanitary pads vending machines in girls colleges in the metropolis keeping the health, safety and sanitation of women at the center. On Saturday, this campaign gained momentum with the installation of machines at Gurunanak Girls College and Raja Ram Mohan Rai Girls PG College. In a press conference held at a hotel on Civil Line, the founder of the Foundation and State General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Harsh Vardhan Singh said that this facility is being provided free of cost for the students above class six. Each machine will have 35 sanitary pads. They can be obtained with a coin of only five rupees. The refilling of the machine will be done by the school administration. This initiative will work to inspire adolescent girls to maintain hygiene during menstruation and fill them with confidence. He said that the Ram Rajya Ayodhya Foundation is not limited to personal health only, but is also making continuous efforts towards the creation of a glorious, clean and aware Ayodhya.
