Ayodhya. To further improve the roads of the city, the road widening work from Devkali to Jail Road is going to start. Under this project, currently six meters wide road will be widened up to 10 meters. Work is proposed at 1.6 km. The Public Works Department has prepared an action plan for this ambitious project and sent it to the government. The cost of about 40 crores is estimated at this work.
Due to the widening of this road, not only will the local people facilitate traffic, but this path will also become more smooth and safe for tourists. Currently, the width of this road is six meters, which is proving inadequate for increasing traffic. After widening, the road will be 10 meters, which will ease the movement of vehicles and get rid of the problem of jam.
Executive Engineer of Public Works Department SP Bharti said that the action plan of this project has been sent to the government for final approval. The tender process will start as soon as the approval is received and there is a plan to start the work as soon as possible. Along with the widening of this road, drainage system, street lights and roadside beautification will also be done.
