Ayodhya. The ambitious project for the construction of a commercial complex, parking facility and food court on 9275.23 square meters of Nazul’s Hriday Sthal Chowk area of the city has got the green signal. The responsibility of this project funded by the Department of Charitable Affairs has been entrusted to the Ayodhya Development Authority. This complex will provide new opportunities to traders and will give world -class shopping experience to the residents here. Also, there will be a permanent solution to the parking problem of the Chowk market.

The project will prove to be a milestone in the city’s traffic system, beautification and systematic business development. Modern parking facility will be provided for two -wheelers and four wheelers under the proposed scheme. At this time, those who come to shop in the markets of Chowk area are most needed. More than 200 shops will be constructed on the ground floor, first and second floors. There will be a food court on the top floor.
189 affected properties were identified in the joint survey of Ayodhya Development Authority, Nazul Department and Municipal Corporation. These include shops, platforms and housing. On June 12, a joint team of Municipal Corporation, District Administration, Police and Authority demolished the dilapidated and temporary structures of the municipal corporation on Nazul land as well as nine dilapidated shops.
Rehabilitation is planned for shopkeepers affected by this project. Shopkeepers will be allotted shops in the newly constructed commercial complex. Temporary arrangements will be made near the project site for commercial activities during construction work. Residential structures will be removed only after rehabilitation, so that the affected people do not face any inconvenience.
The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has finalized all these decisions in a meeting with the district administration. ADA Vice President Ashwani Pandey said that this project is an important step towards urban development and economic prosperity of Ayodhya. We will ensure that the rehabilitation of the affected people is smoothly and the project is completed in a timely manner.
