The last visit of Acharya Satyendra Das, who was the main archak of Ramlala, has left his residence in Ayodhya today. The yatra will go to the ghat of Saryu while visiting Hanumangarhi and Ram Janmabhoomi. He will be given water samadhi at Saryu’s ghat.

Serving Ramlala for 34 years
Acharya Satyendra Das has been witnesses from the structure demolition to the construction of Ram temple. Served Ramlala for 34 years. Premchandra Tripathi, who served as an assistant priest with Acharya Satyendra Das, says that during the Babri demolition, Acharya had taken him in his lap to save the Deities of the four brothers, including Ramlala.

Even at the time of Ramlala’s life prestige, tears of happiness were spilled from his eyes. Due to health and increasing age, no condition was applicable on his visit to the temple. Acharya Satyendra Das earned Acharya degree from Sanskrit school in 1975.
In 1976, he got an assistant teacher job in Sanskrit College, Ayodhya. He was selected for the worship of Ramlala in 1992 nine months before the Babri demolition. His age was 87, but in view of dedication and service to Ramlala, other chief priests were not selected in his place.
Acharya Satyendra Das had said a few days ago that, I have spent almost three decades in the service of Ramlala and whenever I get a chance, I would like to spend the rest of my life in his service. This is a sign of his immense faith in Ramlala.
