A huge crowd of devotees returning from Prayagraj is reaching Ayodhya. When more than 25 lakh devotees reached Ramnagari in the last two days, all the arrangements broke down. Two devotees died in the crowd on Monday. To control the crowd, the administration had to close the roads to Ayodhyadham.

According to administrative data, 15 lakh devotees have come to Ayodhya on Republic Day and more than 10 lakh devotees have come to Ayodhya on Monday. Crowd of devotees is visible on Rampath in Ramnagari. Crowds of devotees are also visible in the streets connected to Rampath. On Monday, a man and a woman suddenly fainted and fell down in the fair area. The police immediately took the devotees to Shri Ram Hospital, where the doctors declared them dead. The cause of death is said to be heart attack due to pressure in the crowd. The woman has been identified as Vimala (60), a resident of Sonipat, Haryana, while the man has not been identified.
Administrative Officer of Shri Ram Hospital, YP Singh said that the man and woman had died even before they were brought to the hospital. The man was unknown, the woman was identified through the people accompanying her. Told that there is so much crowd in Ayodhya that even the paramedical staff is not able to reach the office. Even the ambulance is not able to move in the crowd. It took 45 minutes for the two devotees who fell ill in the crowd to be brought to the hospital by ambulance, covering a distance of 500 metres. The police have denied that the death occurred due to crowd pressure. In the statement issued by SSP Rajkaran Nayyar, it has been said that the death of two devotees in Ayodhya did not happen due to crowd pressure. The female devotee died due to heart failure.
