An order has been given to pay compensation of more than one crore rupees in the case of death of two teachers going to a school located in Rudauli area in a road accident five years ago. Motor Accident Claims Tribunal Judge Shesh Mani Shukla has ruled to provide Rs 1,02,12,982 as compensation to the family members of teacher Ashish Vishen. An order has also been given to provide Rs 6,64,800 as compensation to the wife of teacher Ravindra Nath Srivastava.
Besides, the insurance company will also have to pay seven percent simple interest on the compensation amount from the date of filing the petition. According to the petition presented in the court, Ashish Vishen and Ravindra Nath Srivastava, residents of Raghav Bihar Ranopali of Police Station Kotwali Ayodhya area, were going on their motorcycle to teach in the Pre-Secondary School located in Rudauli area.
On the morning of 12 January 2019, an accident occurred with a cement laden truck in front of Gupta Hotel near Udaya intersection. Both the teachers died on the spot. The court has ordered the insurance company Oriental Insurance to provide Rs 15 lakh each to the parents of deceased Ashish Vishen, Rs 20 lakh each to the minor son and daughter and Rs 72,12,982 to his wife Garima. Insurance company Oriental Insurance will pay Rs 6,64,800 to Ranjana, wife of deceased Ravindra Nath Srivastava.
