The first Deepotsav after the consecration of Ramlala will create a new world record. Whereas in the eighth edition of Yogi Government’s Deepotsav, Dr. Under the management of Prof. Pratibha Goyal, Vice Chancellor of Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, preparations for lighting more than 25 lakh lamps were completed with the help of 30 thousand volunteers to make Deepotsav-2024 historic. On Tuesday, 30 members of the Guinness Book of World Records team under the leadership of consultant Nischal Barot started the counting of lamps of 55 ghats of Saryu in the presence of supervisor, ghat in-charge, coordinator and counting volunteer.
Necessary guidelines have been given by the university administration to the volunteers and officials to make the Deepotsav supernatural and grand. On the day of Deepotsav on 30th October, one liter mustard oil bottle will be provided to fill the lamps. Volunteers will carefully pour oil into 28 lakh lamps. Special care will be taken to ensure that oil does not spill on the ghat.

The university administration finalized the work of decorating 28 lakh lamps on 55 ghats of Saryu. For its preparations, the university has deployed a huge team of more than two thousand along with supervisors, ghat in-charges and counting volunteers. Under his supervision, more than 25 lakh lamps will be lit in the festival of lights. To ensure that the grandeur of the festival of lights can be seen on the world stage, Swastika has been decorated with 80 thousand lamps at Ghat No. 10 by the volunteers of the university campus. This will send a message of auspiciousness to the entire world. This will be the center of attraction. Under the able guidance of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Pratibha Goyal, 16 by 16 lamp blocks have been made at 55 ghats by 30 thousand volunteers, in which 256 lamps have been decorated. In these, a volunteer has been given the target of lighting 85 to 90 lamps.
Nodal Officer of Deepotsav, Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra said that the work has been finalized by the University Administration with the help of Uttar Pradesh Government and District Administration. The lamps at 55 ghats of Ram Nagari are being protected by the police administration and security personnel of the university. Security has been tightened at the ghats. Entry without ID card has been banned. On October 30, the day of Deepotsav, from 10 am onwards, under the supervision of supervisor, ghat in-charge, coordinator and counting volunteers, oil will be poured into more than 25 lakh lamps, wicks will be placed and lamps will be lit late in the evening at the time fixed by the government.
