The joy of child Ram’s first Diwali in the grand palace is not limited to Ayodhya only but its aura extends up to 84 miles. After 500 years of struggle, more than 200 monasteries, temples and pilgrimage sites located within 84 kos including Ayodhya will be illuminated to celebrate the first Diwali of Balakram, seated in the grand Ram temple. Preparations have been completed by the Tourism Department and social service organizations to illuminate all these places with lamps on 30th October.
This is the first Diwali of Balakram, who is seated in the Ram temple, and the huge Ayodhya outside Ramnagari is also eager to witness this happiness. The celebrations have started from Monday itself. There was no feeling of evening twilight. Along with the mythological Ram period places like Bharatkund, Surya Kund, the places of ancestors of Rishi Mandavya, Moongi, Gautam, Parasar etc., the lamps of the grand and divine festival of lights at 200 places in the district illuminated Ayodhya. A grand festival of lights will be celebrated at these places on 30th October also. There are preparations to illuminate Suryakund located on the border of Ramnagari with 25 thousand lamps on the festival of lights. Ramkatha is being seen here in the light and sound show being held every evening.

Apart from this, Bharatkund where Bharat waited for Shri Ram for 14 years. On Wednesday, 25 thousand lamps will be lit here too to celebrate the end of this wait. Malakaniya Dham situated on the periphery of 84 Kosi Parikrama is also ready to participate in the festival of lights with five thousand lamps, while another stop on the 84 Kosi Parikrama route and the ashram of the famous Shringi Rishi who performed the Putreshti Yagya of King Dasharatha is also ready with thousands of lamps. Getting ready to sparkle and rejoice.
The Mahadeva Ghat on the banks of the same river which Shri Ram had crossed to go to the forest ages ago will also be seen celebrating with 21 thousand lamps to mark the arrival of Shri Ram to Ayodhya after the victory of Lanka. Preparations are underway to illuminate with millions of lamps the shrine of Mother Kamakhya, which is auspicious in the dense forests of Sunba, located just within 84 Kos. There are preparations to light more than one lakh lamps here.

Deputy Director Tourism RP Yadav says that there is a plan to illuminate Ramnagari and about 200 monasteries, temples and mythological sites adjacent to it during the festival of lights. Its preparations have been completed. Arrangements for lighting lamps in many monasteries and temples have been made by the Tourism Department, while at many places this festival is being celebrated by social service organizations and monasteries and temples.
