A teenager died after a mud wall collapsed in Hisamuddinpur village of Inayat Nagar Kotwali area in Amaniganj in Ayodhya district. After the post-mortem, the body of the teenager was cremated on Monday morning.
The torrential rains in the area in the last four days wreaked havoc on this family. The family’s only lamp got extinguished when the wall collapsed amid the rain. After the incident, there is a mournful silence in the entire village. Village resident Sachin (16), son of Ram Saran, was returning after grazing goats. As soon as he reached the corridor in the middle of the house, suddenly the neighbour’s mud wall collapsed on the teenager, due to which the teenager got buried under the debris of the wall. Quickly, with the help of the villagers, the teenager was taken out of the debris and taken to the district hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors declared the teenager dead. The death of the only son created chaos in the family. The deceased teenager was a student of class nine. The deceased has a younger sister. Tehsildar Pradeep Singh said that the post-mortem of the deceased’s body has been done. The victim’s family will be provided financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh from the Disaster Relief Fund.
