Sohawal. Samajwadi Party organized a condolence meeting on Sunday after the death of Dalit Dukhhi Ram during quota selection in Hajipur Barsendi village of Raunahi police station area. Along with this, a warning has also been given to stage a sit-in protest at the district headquarters on October 1 if no action is taken against the accused policemen.
MP Awadhesh Prasad said that Raunahi police station in-charge is responsible for the death of the Dalit youth. There has been a conspiracy to convert the previously reserved quota into general quota. The quota was changed in a political conspiracy to deprive the poor Dalit due to casteism. SP will not sit quiet until the victim’s family gets financial help of Rs 50 lakh and his wife gets government quota.
He said that this government takes action based on caste and religion. For this reason, the entire administration is busy saving the police station in-charge. If a case is not registered against the accused police station in-charge and financial assistance is not provided to the victim’s family by 30 September, then a sit-in demonstration will be held at the District Collectorate office on 1 October. Some people from the ruling party were trying to get the victim’s family to sign papers for their protection. The MP assured the deceased’s brother Kashiram Rawat of financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh from SP within three days and taking responsibility for the daughter’s marriage. On this occasion, SP District President Parasnath Yadav, former MLA Jaishankar Pandey, Jai Singh Yadav Rana, Raghavendra Pratap Singh Anoop, Ram Chander Rawat, Ranjitram Rawat, Anubhav Rawat, Rakesh Verma, Jitendra Rawat, etc. were present.
