Ayodhya. The deadline for the construction of Ram Mandir has been extended by two months. The construction of Ram Mandir will not be completed by December. Now the three-storey 161 feet high Ram Mandir will be ready only by the end of February. Also, the deadline for other temples including Ram Mandir has been fixed as June 2025. The pace of temple construction has been affected due to lack of labourers and adverse weather conditions.
While giving information about the progress of the construction of the temple, Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti, said that the construction of the peak of the Ram Mandir is yet to be completed. It will take at least 120 days to build it. Therefore, now the Ram Mandir will not be completed by December. The construction of the temple including the peak is likely to be completed by the end of February. He said that between the construction of the temple and Sapta Mandapam, discussions are also going on to build a Pushkarni i.e. a small pond for water drainage. In which the water falling on the floor after the Lord’s bath will be collected in this Pushkarni.
Nripendra Mishra said that the foundation stone for the construction of auditorium, guest house and trust office to be built in the Ram Mandir complex will be laid in the second week of October. Its construction will take about eight months. The work of the spire and floor is still pending in all the temples of Sapta Mandapam. The idol will arrive by December 15. After that it will be installed. At that time, a decision will be taken as to in which order the idols will be installed. Probably the idol of Maharishi Valmiki will be installed first.
