Tarun. The body of a 19-year-old youth who was buried after he died due to a poisonous animal bite a fortnight ago, was exhumed on Friday for postmortem. The incident took place in Belgara village under the police station area.
Last month on the night of 28th August, Govind Banraja, son of Rajesh Kumar Banvasi, a resident of Gram Sabha, was bitten by a poisonous creature while sleeping. The family took him to the Community Health Center Tarun for treatment. After primary treatment there, he was sent to the district hospital. Where he died during treatment. After this, the body of the youth was buried in the ground of Maniharwa Baba. After a fortnight, the father of the deceased, Rajesh Kumar, met the regional MLA Abhay Singh and submitted an application demanding a post-mortem of his son’s body. On the report of the police station in-charge Tarun, the District Magistrate ordered a post-mortem of the body. On Friday, the buried body was dug out. During this, the body was sent for post-mortem in the presence of Police Circle Officer Bikapur Surendra Singh, CHC Tarun doctor Dr. Nanhku Ram, Tehsildar Bikapur Ram Khelawan.
