Ayodhya. Humidity and sunshine troubled everyone since morning. In the afternoon, the weather suddenly changed and dark clouds gathered in the sky. Strong winds started blowing. Drizzling rain started and then the weather became pleasant.

For the past several days, the humidity and heat had made everyone miserable. It was known that it rained somewhere in the nearby rural areas or in the neighboring districts, but the city of Ayodhya remained untouched by it. The morning on Wednesday also started with humidity and heat.

After 1 pm, the weather suddenly changed and the sky became cloudy and strong winds started blowing. This made people feel that it was raining somewhere nearby. On enquiring, it was found that it was raining in Sohawal, many areas of the neighbouring district Barabanki received rain and similarly, it rained in some other areas of the district as well. Around 1:30 pm, Ayodhya city also suddenly started drizzling. After this, it kept raining continuously, sometimes lightly and sometimes drizzling. Gusts of wind also kept blowing. In such a situation, the weather made everyone feel relaxed after many days.

Dr. Amarnath Mishra, meteorologist of Acharya Narendra Dev Agriculture and Technology University, said that 5.8 mm of rain was recorded in Ayodhya city on Wednesday. While 3.6 mm of rain fell in Kumarganj of the district. This change in weather also affected the temperature. The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.5, two degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees above normal. The wind speed was quite fast at 9.5 kilometers per hour and the direction was south-east. Dr. Mishra said that in the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate clouds in eastern Uttar Pradesh along with drizzle and light rain at some places.
