Ayodhya. Preparations are now being made to teach self-defense techniques to girls. Under the Rani Laxmibai Self Defense Training Scheme, girls will be given training in Judo Karate in 26 government schools. Trainers have been appointed on contract to teach girls self-defense techniques. Two women and five male trainers have been associated with this scheme. In this, the trainers will be given an honorarium of five thousand rupees every month for three months.
Only 20 schools were selected under the Rani Laxmibai Training Scheme last time. This time 26 schools have been included under this scheme. Under the Samagra Shiksha Madhyamik, the government has started the Rani Laxmibai Self-Defense Training Scheme with the aim of instilling self-confidence in girls and making them aware about their surroundings. In the training, girl students will be taught the tricks to be prepared to fight against any unexpected incident. The nuances of martial arts will be taught and explained to fight in adverse circumstances. This includes training in Taekwondo and Karate along with teaching Judo. The duration of the training has been fixed at 40 minutes and the training will continue for three months. Children from classes 6 to 12 will be trained.
Seven trainers were selected.
10 people had applied for the selection of trainers. Out of these, 7 people have been selected. Out of these, only two women and five male black belt trainers have been selected. They will be given an honorarium of Rs. 5000 per month.
