Ayodhya. There was a power crisis in Avadhpuri Colony connected to the Amaniganj sub-centre of the city from midnight. Due to a technical fault in the 400 KVA transformer installed in the colony, power went off at around 3 am, due to which people were troubled in the humid heat. The supply was restored at nine in the morning, but the power outages throughout the day made people cry a lot.
Animesh Kumar, a resident of Avadhapuri Colony, said that the power supply was disrupted around 12 o’clock at night. It came after about an hour and then went off again at around 02:30 due to a fault in the transformer. After this, there was no electricity throughout the night. Even small children became restless from midnight in the humid heat. The power supply could be restored at around nine in the morning.
Colony resident Meena Singh said that electricity not only troubled her throughout the night, but it started coming and going again in the morning. Humid heat also troubled her. Amaniganj sub-station’s junior engineer Guddu Yadav said that electricity supply was disrupted due to the transformer lead being cut. The supply was restored by repairs by around 7 am. During the day, a new cable was being laid towards Bachha Sultanpur Colony. Due to this, the supply was disrupted for some time.
