The boatmen of Ramnagari will not only provide boat rides to the tourists but will also tell stories related to Shri Ram. For this, the boatmen will be trained. This initiative has been started by the Tourism Department. More than 50 boatmen of Ayodhya will be trained and informed about the history, culture and folk tales of Ayodhya. For this, six pilgrimage sites have been selected, including Ayodhya. In the first phase, boatmen are being trained in Prayagraj.
The boatmen of Ayodhya will now also be called storytellers. These boatmen will tell stories related to Ayodhya to tourists and devotees in an interesting way. The tourism department has made preparations to give this special experience to the tourists. To provide training in storytelling, the tourism department has signed an agreement with Manyavar Kanshiram Tourism Management Institute (MKITM) and an organization called Bewajah Samiti. Experts will be selected for training. Tourists and devotees will not only enjoy tourism but will also increase their knowledge.

Along with this, you will also be able to know the culture, tradition and history of Ayodhya. The storytellers will also be paid remuneration, this will increase the income of the boatmen. Apart from Ram Katha, the boatmen will also tell interesting stories related to Ayodhya to the tourists and devotees. For example, what is the importance of Ayodhya, the boatmen will also give information about the monastery-temples, kunds, lakes which are witnesses of its antiquity. Apart from this, the story of the construction of the newly built Ram temple will also be told. Soon there is a plan to start training in Ayodhya as well.
One lakh devotees visit Ayodhya daily
After the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla, the number of devotees and tourists in Ayodhya has increased. Before Pran Pratishtha, 40 to 50 thousand devotees used to come to Ayodhya daily, after Pran Pratishtha this number has doubled. One and a half to two lakh devotees reach Ayodhya on festivals. For the devotees and tourists coming to Ayodhya, visiting the ghats of Saryu and taking bath in Saryu is a priority. In such a situation, along with worship on the banks of Saryu, devotees and tourists will also be able to know and understand the story of Ram.

Deputy Director of Tourism RP Yadav says that just as the guides give complete information to the devotees coming from all over the country and the world, better trained sailors will tell the entire story of Shri Ram to the devotees. Under this, more than 50 sailors will be trained. Its purpose is to promote the historical and cultural importance of Ayodhya Dham.
