Gosainganj (Ayodhya). The police has solved the case of the body of a girl found in suspicious circumstances on Thursday in a ruined room of a dak bungalow behind the railway station of the city. The girl was murdered by her lover. On Thursday morning, he called the girl’s mother and told her that he had killed her daughter and the body was lying in the dak bungalow and she should go and collect it.
According to SHO Parshuram Ojha, the youth who killed the 21-year-old girl has been identified as Deepak Kumar, a resident of Devkali of Kurebhar police station in Sultanpur. He was arrested from Mahadeva Mandir Road in Gosaiganj town at 2 am on Thursday night. Two mobile phones of the deceased have also been recovered from the youth.
During rigorous interrogation, the accused told that he was having an affair with Savita for three years. He used to work in Mumbai. Savita had been in a live-in relationship with him in Mumbai for five months. At the time of Savita’s elder sister and brother’s wedding, he came back from Mumbai with Savita in May on her mother’s request. After this, she started talking to another young man named Bal Govind. She even stopped picking up his phone, which he did not like. On August 21, he called the girl and asked her to come to Gosainganj. He took her to the dak bungalow behind the railway station. There, both of them had a quarrel. After this, he strangled her to death and fled leaving the body there.
On Thursday afternoon, Kamala Devi, a resident of Kanak Patti, Dashmde of Akbarpur police station area of Ambedkar Nagar, reached Gosaiganj police station and told that she had received a phone call. While talking, someone told her that the body of her daughter is lying in the dak bungalow near Gosaiganj station. The woman’s daughter had left home on August 21 saying that she was going to Mahamaya Medical College for treatment.
Only the hands and feet of the corpse remained, the head is not found
After a search by the police, the rotten body of the girl was recovered from an old ruined room of the dak bungalow. There is also a possibility that the body was burnt after the murder. The mother identified the body of the daughter from the clothes and slippers. Only the hands and feet of the body are left. The rest of the body from the stomach to the neck is completely gone. The head is also missing. The accused of murder is married and has two children.
A former acquaintance of the girl has murdered the girl out of anger for some reason. Based on the complaint received from the family, a case has been registered and the accused has been taken into custody. The accused has confessed to the murder during interrogation.
