Ayodhya. People from various fields were honored on the last day of the two-day international seminar organized on the changing dimensions of agriculture and rural development in India under the aegis of the Department of Business Management and Entrepreneurship of Avadh University and IGNOU. The chief guest of the closing session, Rajeshwar Singh, Vice President of the State Seed Development Corporation, called upon the youth to become the carriers of change.
He said that students can take the country to the pinnacle of glory. He also called for the cultivation and consumption of coarse grains. He said that this keeps many diseases at bay. National President of Ekal Future Abhiyan of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Durgesh Tripathi said that those whom we often consider less educated, may be more intelligent than us. Instead of considering oneself a social worker, one should consider serving people as a social responsibility.
Uttar Pradesh Director of Khadi and Village Industries Commission Dr. Nitesh Dhawan said that in 2015 India was ranked 81st in the world in innovation, but now it is ranked 40th. He called upon the youth to increase their participation in innovation. Former Chairman of MBA Department Prof. Ashok Shukla, who was presiding over the program, said that farming is now proving to be profitable through research and innovation. Youth are also joining it. It will take time, but agricultural entrepreneurship will continue to move forward. Head of MBA Department Prof. Himanshu Shekhar Singh welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Prof. Shailendra Verma, Dr. Jaishankar Pandey and a large number of teachers and students were present.
