Bad condition of road in Subhash Chandra ward.
Ayodhya. Most of the lanes connected to Rampath have a similar sad story. Arya Kanya Gali going from Rikabganj Hanumangarhi to Niyawa was dug up to lay sewer lines and then filled up in a haphazard manner. Due to this, pedestrians have to face jolts while commuting.
Arya Kanya Gali, which goes from Rikabganj Hanumangarhi to Niyawan in Civil Line, is a part of Subhash Chandra Ward. This lane is the main connecting road connecting Rampath to one part of another. Pedestrians from near Civil Line directly join Rampath at Niyawan through this lane. A large number of vehicles ply on this lane. A population of thousands resides here. Arya Kanya Inter College is also located in this lane. The road of this lane used to be fine earlier. It was dug up by Jal Nigam to lay sewer line. Not only this main lane, the interlocking of other lanes connected to it was also broken first and then filled up somehow. The same happened with the CC road of Arya Kanya Gali. Due to this, the road is damaged at many places. Where potholes were dug, they were somehow leveled by putting ballast, sand and gravel. Its condition worsened when it rained. Recently, the regional councilor got the road repaired by putting pressure on Jal Nigam, but that too did not last for long. In such a situation, travelling on the damaged road is a necessity.
Local resident Sandeep Ojha says that even a little rain fills the road with water up to the knees. The main reason for this is that the drains along the road have not been constructed as per the standards. No efforts have been made in this direction so far.
A proposal of Rs 1.35 crore is ready, the road will be built again
Subhash Chandra Ward Councillor Arjun Yadav alias Somu said that the condition of Arya Kanya Gali from Hanumangarhi to Niyawa is very dilapidated, there is no problem in accepting this. The development work done here is responsible for this. The road was dug up to lay the drinking water pipeline and then the sewer line. After this, it was filled with gravel and sand as an alternative. The councillor said that now he has made efforts and got the proposal for construction of the road afresh worth Rs. 1.35 crore approved. Its DPR will be prepared and sent to the government. After getting approval from the government, the road will be constructed afresh.
